Dumpers are utilized to carry bulk materials around the work site. Dumpers have a skip (container or bucket) that is able to be filled with the bulk material to be moved. The dumper is able to drive the material wherever needed, and once there, the skip can be tipped to dump the load. As compared to dump trucks, new and used dumpers for sale typically have less carrying capacity, but they do offer similar functionality. Whereas a dump truck has a cab in front of its load, dumpers are usually open four-wheeled vehicles with the load skip in front of the driver. Dumpers are also able to run on rubber tracks for more even weight distribution compared to tires. They have either a rigid or articulated chassis, and although the skip is normally in front, dumpers can dump to the back, side, or front depending on whether the load skip is in front or behind the driver. Some skips are even able to swivel or pivot on the dumpers base or tracks. Although most dumpers for sale do not have cabs, they do usually have some form of rollover protection for added safety.
