Cranes

A crane is a type of machine that typically comes equipped with a hoist rope, wire ropes or chains, and sheaves. Cranes are utilized to lift and lower materials and to move them horizontally. If in need of machines to lift heavy objects or transport them from place to place, purchasing new or used cranes for sale may be necessary to complete the job as that is their specialty. Cranes use one or more simple machines to establish a mechanical advantage allowing them to move loads which are beyond the normal capability of a human. The most common buyers of cranes for sale are those in the transport industry for the loading and unloading of freight, in the construction industry for the movement of large materials, and in the manufacturing industry for the assembling of heavy equipment.

Modern cranes normally use internal combustion engines or electric motors and hydraulic systems to provide a much greater lifting capacity than anything previously possible. They are also available in many different types, each with a specific function. For example, if there are jobs to be completed in hard to reach places or more harsh environments than normal, one may need to locate rough terrain cranes for sale. Crane sizes range from the smallest jib cranes, used inside workshops, to the tallest tower cranes, used for the construction of large buildings. Mini cranes can also be used in the construction of high buildings by reaching the tight spaces that other cranes cannot. There are even floating cranes which can be used to build oil rigs and salvage sunken ships.

At Equipment Anywhere, we are able to offer a variety of cranes from leading manufacturers through our network of equipment dealers and advertisers. We have Grove cranes for sale, Tadano cranes for sale, as well as Liebherr, Kobelco, Link-Belt, Terex, Kato, and many others.
