Be Prepared for Client’s Changes
For a contractor, a smooth construction process when they are working on building a project is the most important thing; however, letting the client make changes in the process is important. If the client is not included in the planning phase, it will be too late by the time the construction of the project has started. Making any changes or adjustments after the fact causes a lot of issues and errors.
When you start planning the project, set a date with the clients to discuss any changes or adjustments that need to be made. The clients may not like that they cannot make changes at the last minute. They would be more upset, however, if the project was delayed and went over budget due to small changes made at the last minute. If the changes they ask for requires you to buy additional construction equipment for sale you will be going way over budget. So while the client may not be as happy about it as you would like initially, it will be better off for you in the long run.
