Case Construction Equipment Introduces The 580SV Construction King

Case Construction Equipment unveiled its latest 580SV Construction King center-pivot loader backhoe at the Con-Expo-Con/Agg trade event in March. This new machine features a front linkage designed like a tool carrier, which enables it to function as a material handler to transfer bundled and palletized goods around the workplace. The 580SV also brings back the Construction King brand to the Case range.

Features and Specifications

The 580SV Construction King is a 4-wheel-drive loader backhoe that weighs between 18,695 to 19,709 pounds (8,480 to 8,940 kilograms) depending on its configuration. It is designed for landscaping, rental, agricultural, and utility applications.

The machine is powered by a Tier 4 Final FPT F5 diesel engine that produces 97 horsepower (72 kilowatts) and has a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) exhaust after-treatment system. It comes with either a Power Shuttle 4F-4R synchromesh gearbox or an H-Type Powershift 4F-3R gearbox.

Case Construction Equipment’s Newest Addition to its Line of Versatile Loader Backhoes

The 580SV can employ 4-in-1 and 6-in-1 loader buckets with a heaping capacity of 1.3 cubic yards (1 cubic meter) and backhoe buckets with capacities ranging from 2.8 to 7.1 cubic feet (0.08 to 0.20 cu m). It can easily convert between attachments thanks to a hydraulic fast coupler. The standard 14-foot (4.27-meter) digger has a dig depth of 14.42 feet (4.39 meters), which may be raised to 18.5 feet (5.6 meters) with an optional 15-foot (4.57-meter) Extendahoe. The latter has a thumb-operated proportional electrohydraulic control and inner extension choices.

The 580SV Construction King features a high-visibility, ROPS/FOPS-certified cab with HVAC and Bluetooth radio. A ROPS/FOPS cover is also offered as an option. The loader backhoe comes bundled with a Case Site Watch telematics subscription.

Upgrades Available

The 580SV Construction King has several available upgrades, including a curved boom for improved clearance over dump truck beds and an overlapping cylinder boom with an extensible outer housing. The machine also has speed-selectable Auto Ride Control and 1-way or 2-way auxiliary backhoe hydraulics.

Later in 2023, Case will release a side-shift model of the 580SV Construction King with a backhoe digging boom that can move from side to side, enabling users to excavate up to buildings and other structures.

Rock-Solid Guarantee Program

The 580SV Construction King is currently available for leasing through Case’s new Rock-Solid Guarantee program. This 36-month/1,000-hour contract includes a clause that allows owners to terminate the lease after 12 months if they are not satisfied with it.

The Rock-Solid Guarantee also includes a year-long full machine warranty and 36 months or 3,000 hours (whichever comes first) of powertrain coverage. If the lessee decides to buy the machine after the initial three years of leasing are up, Case will add a fourth year or 1,000 more hours of powertrain protection.

Terry Dolan, vice president for North America at Case Construction Equipment, says that the Rock-Solid Guarantee program “addresses both practical earthmoving needs while also delivering an extremely business-friendly way to invest in new machinery and expand capabilities with complete peace of mind.”

Conclusion

The Case 580SV Construction King is a versatile loader backhoe that can be used for multiple applications, from landscaping to construction. With its powerful engine, comfortable cab, and advanced features, it provides operators with the performance and efficiency they need to get the job done. Its four-wheel drive system and heavy-duty axles make it capable of handling tough terrain, while its extendable and other attachments allow for greater flexibility and productivity on the job site. All in all, the 580SV Construction King is a reliable and efficient machine that can help contractors and operators take on a wide variety of projects with ease.
